EliteTorrents.org Down

SLYCK: The BitTorrent community has seen its fair share of indexing sites go offline - whether voluntarily or involuntarily. Sites like LokiTorrent, UK-Torrents, s0nikfreak, TVTorrents and YouceffTorrents have all either fallen under the weight of the MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America.) Today, it appeared another website has fallen, EliteTorrents.org. The homepage of this website was replaced with a permanent shutdown notice, purportedly announced by the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) and U.S. Customs. The FBI is under the United States Department of Justice, while U.S. Customs is under the Department of Homeland Security.
